Sylvester Stallone Latest News: Tulsa King Season 4, PaleyFest Family Night and Arnold Schwarzenegger Update

Sylvester Stallone is having one of the busiest Octobers of his long career. At 80, the Rocky and Rambo legend is counting down to the return of his hit television series, has just released his memoir, and stepped onto a New York red carpet with his family at his side — where he also gave fans a heartwarming update on his famous friendship with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Tulsa King Season 4 Premieres October 16

The biggest date on Stallone’s calendar is Friday, October 16, 2026, when Tulsa King returns for its fourth season on Paramount+. The crime drama is Stallone’s first leading role in a scripted television series, and it has become one of the streamer’s flagship shows.

Stallone stars as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, the mob capo who relocates to Tulsa, Oklahoma and rebuilds a criminal empire from the ground up. The series was created by Taylor Sheridan, with Terence Winter returning as head writer and executive producer alongside Stallone himself.

Season 4 brings back familiar faces including Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza and Annabella Sciorra, and adds new players to Dwight’s orbit. Frank Grillo returns as rival mob boss Bill Bevilaqua, while Gretchen Mol joins as politician Amanda Clark and Eden Lee comes aboard as Maya, the Governor of Oklahoma’s Chief of Staff — a sign that Dwight’s business is colliding with powerful people well beyond Tulsa’s criminal underworld.

Family Night at PaleyFest NY

Ahead of the premiere, Stallone appeared at PaleyFest NY on Saturday, October 10, at The Paley Museum in New York City. The evening featured an advance screening of the season four premiere followed by a panel conversation moderated by TVLine editor-in-chief Kim Roots, with Stallone, Winter and cast members including Grillo, Starr, Will, Mol and Piazza.

The red carpet became a family affair. Stallone was joined by his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and their youngest daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, who plays Spencer in the series. Scarlet first joined Tulsa King as a barista serving coffee to Manfredi before becoming a horse groom, and she has said her character gets a bigger, more emotional arc this season.

One moment melted the crowd: as Scarlet walked past her father during the cast photo, Stallone stopped her and pulled her to stand right beside him. Fans on social media were quick to share the sweet father-daughter moment.

“Good Friends Now”: Stallone on Arnold Schwarzenegger

During the panel, Stallone offered a rare update on his relationship with former rival Arnold Schwarzenegger. Comparing the on-screen dynamic between his character and Grillo’s — two rivals with “a certain camaraderie” and mutual respect — Stallone turned to real life.

“It’s like me and Schwarzenegger. We’re good friends now. We’ve gotten mellow,” he said, adding that having an adversarial rival only pushed both of them to raise their game. The two action icons, aged 80 and 79, famously competed for the same roles for decades before becoming close friends.

Memoir “The Steps” and a Decades-Old Hollywood Story

Stallone’s memoir, The Steps, released on September 29, is also making headlines. The book covers his decades-long career — including the creation of Rocky and Rambo — and includes a startling account of his early days filming The Lords of Flatbush alongside Richard Gere.

According to Stallone, tension with Gere exploded during a lunch break when a spill of chicken grease set off a confrontation the director had to step in and break up. Gere ultimately left the production and was replaced by Perry King.
