Katie Price’s former flame Carl Woods reportedly loaned the star £4,500 so that she could afford to buy back her eye-catching bright pink Range Rover last year

Katie Price’s ex Carl Woods is reportedly trying to reclaim thousands of pounds he loaned her to buy her pink Range Rover.

Price, 46, has been declared bankrupt on two occasions and has an unpaid tax bill of over £750k. And it appears she was short last year when it came to buying back her beloved car, which she’d had before but is understood to have lost when it was repossessed in 2019.

Katie managed to get the flashy motor for £16,000 last year. And Carl, who Katie was engaged to, is said to have lent her £4,500 to help her get the wheels back in her garage.

The pair have since broken up and according to The Sun, Carl is waiting for the money back. But it seems there is some question over whether Pricey’s car was a present or not.

An insider claimed that Carl “felt like he was being mugged off and accused Katie of spending like there’s no tomorrow”. But Katie apparently believes the car was a present, with a source explaining: “As far as she is concerned, the car was a gift.

“Carl messaged Katie to say it would be delivered, and was his gift to her, so to read that he now wants money is a bit baffling.” Pricey showed off her 4×4 over the weekend, having got some new brakes installed.

Katie and Carl had been together on and off for around three years but are thought to have split at the end of last year. They had got together for the first time in 2020 and for a while the pair were smitten.

They got engaged in 2021, which mum-of-five Katie announced on Instagram. Sharing a picture of the couple she showed off a ring as she told fans: “I said yes!”

The course of true love did not run smooth for Katie and Carl though, and they split on a few occasions before patching things up. But towards the end of 2023 they are thought to have called things off for good and Katie has now moved on with Married At First Sight UK star JJ Slater.

The pair have been together for a few months and there have been rumours that they could be set to tie the knot, which would be Katie’s fourth marriage. The speculation ramped up this week when the pair were spotted browsing in a bridal boutique together. The couple were with Katie’s son Harvey, 22, and were snapped looking at dresses.

Katie was arrested at Heathrow airport earlier this month a warrant had been out for her arrest after she skipped her bankruptcy hearing. The star had jetted off to Turkey, where she got a reported £10k facelift.

When she appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice to discuss her bankruptcy issues, she was told she had to attend her next hearing – “no ifs or buts”.
