Nicki Minaj should be celebrating the success of
the release of her new music video for “Likkle Miss (Remix)”
with Skeng, but she recently expressed her disappointment on
YouTube for restricting her video on their platform.
Taking to her official Instagram account, the “Super Freaky Girl” rapstress called out the video streaming platform and labeled them “bogus” for age-restricting her latest music video.
“Imagine this. They restricted my fucking video but have things a million fucking times worse on their BOGUS FKNG PLATFORM,” she wrote. (via Uproxx)
Minaj also shared a screenshot of a notice from YouTube, saying they reviewed her content and found out that the video may not be suitable for young audiences based on their community guidelines.
The platform clarified in its letter that they haven’t “applied a strike” to her channel and her video is still available to be accessed by some users.
In her caption, the “Moment 4 Life” hitmaker said this is what YouTube does to keep her from “winning.”
She also alleged that the platform is allowing to advertise other people and post “fake stats” because “the same people who run YouTube are in bed with a certain record label and management company.”
As of this writing, YouTube has not released an official statement regarding Minaj’s latest post.
YouTube Preventing Nicki Minaj to Get Views?
In a separate post, Minaj claimed that the video streaming platform age-restricted her content to prevent her and Skeng to amass many views in the first 24 hours of her video’s release.
“The DUDS at my label allow ppl to use my videos all the time to promote weak shit but said we can’t buy promo for my videos,” she added.
Minaj then tagged YouTube and YouTube Music to her post, saying they should tell the public that they’re “in bed” with a record label and management company.
She also asked them how long have they been playing their statistics to lie and “pretend” that some musicians are doing good when it comes to numbers even though they are not.
The rapper concluded her statement by revealing that YouTube has been promoting other artists in her videos through ads over the past five years.
Nicki Minaj’s “Likkle Miss Remix” is in collaboration with Skeng. The song is a part of the hip hop star’s greatest hits compilation album “Queen Radio: Volume 1.”
